Hidden within the trees lining a breathtaking bay next to Bluff Beach, Tesoro Escondido provides a refuge for nature lovers seeking rustic creature comforts.


We are located 7km (4 miles from Bocas Town). The house and surrounding gardens are designed based on permaculture principles. Energy is generated by the sun and wind. Water is collected by our rain catchment system, plumbed throughout the house, filtered, and re-used to water the gardens.

Rustic, local style home, with lovely accents of local wood, tile and rocks. The beauty of this place is in its large open terraces and porches from which to enjoy the most gorgeous sunrises and beautiful ocean views.
Cabins have their own kitchenette. Main and second floor have one kitchen to share between two rooms. All rooms/cabins have their own bathroom, and a large cooler.

All artwork and much of the furniture is inspired by nature using materials either recycled or collected from our surroundings.

2 sand beaches are located on both sides of the house, and beautiful Bluff beach is only a 2-minute walk away.

We want to provide you with an opportunity to not only live in harmony with nature but to enjoy yourself as well. All rooms and cabinas have balconies, and are furnished, have hot water, private kitchen or kitchen access, mosquito nets, and small bed fans.
We have fresh, organic eggs for sale, and snorkel equipment available to rent on the premises, and we also have some games and books you can borrow.

Perfect for surfers, wildlife photographers, honeymooners, writers, adventurers, artists and escapists.
And all this for a very affordable price.

SEPARATE COTTAGES
separate from main house. Each with queen-sized bed, bathroom and small kitchenette. Large ice chest provided, i large block of ice (purchased in town) will last at least 3 days. Long-term renters pay for gaz refills for kitchen cooktop and water heater. Dimensions, 16x20 main living space, 10x16 foot balcony, and 8x8 kitchen and bathroom adjacent to living space.

Beautiful Bluff Beach is begins only a 2-minute walk away. The Coast provides several miles of special places, great for either surfing, snorkeling, or just beach-combing.

RESERVATIONS
Once you have selected an accommodation, first please look at our calendar: http://calendar.yahoo.com/bocasbluff (Go to "month" tab). For easy reference, each day lists all the accommodations to choose from, and then below, the ones that have a confirmed reservation. If the room or cabina you would like is not listed below, then it is available.
Tesoro Escondido is 4 miles out of town, and does not cater to many "walk-ins". Because we rely heavily on our internet reservation system, we must require that a 50% deposit be made at the time of reservation. Once you have determined what is available, please e-mail us, and we will provide you with deposit information.
Refunds:
If your cancellation request is received by e-mail, 60 days or more before booking date, you will be refunded the deposit minus 10% handling fee.
If your cancellation request is received by e-mail, 30 days or more before booking date, you will be refunded the deposit minus 20% handling fee.
If your cancellation request is received by e-mail, less than 30 days before booking date, you will ONLY be refunded the deposit minus 20% handling fee IF we are able to rent the accommodation for that same period of time.

If your reservation was made through an intermediary (i.e. travel agent) and you inform that person of your cancellation request, be sure that they forward it immediately to us.
